Super Earlybird Registration Ends December 1st
It’s a great joy to introduce educators to their heroes/sheroes and creating learning adventures they never dreamed were possible.
That’s why Gary spent fifteen years cultivating relationships with the wise and profound educators of Reggio Emilia, Italy. That effort culminated in the collaborative offering, The Language of Computation – Constructing Modern Knowledge in Reggio Emilia. Last April’s event was deemed such an outstanding success that we have been invited back to Reggio to host a second institute. Learn more about what makes this institute so special here and check out scenes from our first institute below.
As soon as we announced the event, two people who attended last Spring registered to return — one from South Korea and the other from Canada!

Our Canadian colleague Glenn Boustead wrote the following…
My experience at the first Language of Computation institute last April 2025 in Reggio Emilia lived up to all of my expectations and then some. I knew that I was in for a very special time, as I had heard a lot about the community from Gary’s many expressions of admiration for it, and I did a lot of reading and listening and watching prior to going, so had some pretty high expectations for how I was going to feel once there.
I was not let down – I found myself always in awe of how caring and compassionate the people were, how they treated all children with the utmost respect, and as an integral part of this provided beautiful, thoughtful learning environments. Nothing can replace the experience of being there in person. I am excitedly looking forward to attending next June.
I have also attached a photo of my growing Reggio book collection. Invaluable evidence of the love for children nurtured in Reggio for so many years.
And now I can go register!
