A History of Constructing Modern Knowledge
The attached PDF is a chapter from the 2020 book, Designing Constructionist Futures: The Art, Theory, and Practice of Learning Designs. In Constructing Modern Knowledge: Crafting the Next Generation of Constructionists, I share a brief history of the Constructing Modern Knowledge institute, its underlying philosophy of constructionism, and lessons learned.
This essay should help readers appreciate how CMK institutes and workshops remain distinct from other forms of professional development for educators.
